Everybody has a Doctor. Who's Yours? --Wallpaper-- by andepoul Everybody has a Doctor. Who's Yours? --Wallpaper-- by andepoul
Second attempt at a desktop background using my Doctor Who portraits. Done for my Digital Drawing class. The assignment was to make something that related to culture in some way. If Doctor Who isn't a cultural phenomenon, I don't know what is.

I know this is very rare but I LOVE 9 more than any other doctor :)

I think it'd be cool if you remade this to include Peter Capaldri and John Hurt the War Doctor

Great job!

Ooh tricky. My first Doctor was actually the first Doctor (Whovian veteran for a dad) so I kinda like the grumpy attitude, as such I was very incline towards 9. But I also met the fourth Doctor, whose sheer madness was just a joy to watch as such 11 was very easy to get into.
And then there's 10. He's awesome all on his own.
Might be easier to ask who my favourite companion is. Here's a clue, if you spoke her name in high gallifreyan, it would come out as Arkytior.
ASkinnyWhiteGuy Featured By Owner Dec 12, 2013
Does Arkytior translate to "Bad Wolf"?
Tahkaullus01 Featured By Owner Dec 12, 2013  Student Writer
Nope...but you're very very close
VashtaSilvestris Featured By Owner Jun 14, 2014
Nice one, Arkytior is Susan's actual gallifreyan name which would mean Rose in english...^^
So, it's Rose then, right?

Well played, btw... :D
Tahkaullus01 Featured By Owner Jun 14, 2014  Student Writer
Thank you, and yes. Rose is the favourite.

My Doctors are 2,4 and 8. They gave me a chance to delve deeper into who I actually was. These Doctors made me me.
Amazing-person-yes Featured By Owner Aug 7, 2013  Hobbyist General Artist
Although.. My favourites are at the moment 5,6,4,and 8.
But not always in that order :D
Dadalos Featured By Owner Aug 6, 2013
To be fair ive only have experience with 1 9 10 11 (still watching the older episodes as i find them.)
but to date my fave has to be 10. 9 was my first doctor and got me into the series and i just havent made any kind of solid connection to 11 but 10 was fun to watch and 1 so far seems the most immature (though i will make great allowances for him being the first doctor and pioneering the series.)

Put simply, he's my hero.
Tinker-Brows Featured By Owner Jul 19, 2013
Six, Definitely Six. Nine was my first Doctor, so I'm partial to him, but Six was my first Classic Doctor. Attack of the Cybermen was the first classic episode I could get my hands on and I don't know why but I really liked Six's character. Then, after watching The Two Doctors, I really fell in love with Six. I think I like him so much because he reminds me a bit of myself... He's a show-of with questionable fashion-sense and can argue you into oblivion, but he also is a good person underneath all that. Plus I really like his coat (I'm not kidding, I would TOTALLY wear that! At least, as long as my sister promises not to murder me in my sleep for breaking every fashion law in existence XD) I think a part of me also likes him because so many other people don't and I feel like Six deserves a LOT more love than he normally gets.

Actually, all the even numbers and five. :)
Oh. And eleven...I guess.

My first was Eleven. But I know they are all cool. Childish, romantic, grumpy, dandyish - whatever. Still the same person, and that's main.

First Doctor for me is Matt Smith though Series 5 The Pandora opens. But my fave would be 2-5 and 8-11. (still working with 1, 7 and 6 )
machdude Featured By Owner Oct 2, 2012
Well, I was born about 5 years after the show ended, but I was always partial to Troughton. Eccleston is my favorite "new" doctor, though.
stupidsama Featured By Owner Sep 16, 2012
Sylvester McCoy was pretty much the Doctor upto 1996,since the first 15-20 mins or so of the movie shows him as the doctor, untill he regenerates as Paul McGann

My Doctor is 11.
The first ever Doctor Who episode I watched was 'Closing Time'

Eh, you know my answer, Poul.

Third Doctor's my favorite, followed closely by Tennant, Smith and C. Baker.

I really like this but there is one correction that I see needs to be mentioned. The 7th Doctor, Sylvester McCoy should be 1987-1996. That would cover his time on the TV show through the Virgin New Adventures and concludes with his appearance in the TV Movie in 1996.

Oh, and as for who is My Doctor. Well, technically, they all are. Because they are all THE Doctor and therefore MY Doctor. But if I were to address who was my First Doctor, that honor goes to The 9th Doctor, Christopher Eccleston. He changed everything for me in my life by showing me the absolutely FANTASTIC world that I love that is and continues to be, Doctor Who.
andepoul Featured By Owner Feb 5, 2012  Professional Digital Artist
I agree with your proposed correction, however I felt that I would only mention each Doctor's time being televised. However, if I went with you suggestion I would have to have taken into account all of the Big Finish Audio Dramas which would force me to list Four, Five, Six, Seven and Eight as all having end dates of ???? considering they are all currently still playing the character. That just leads to complications and I felt that listing them this way would make it considerably less confusing for casual fans.

Thanks for the fave and for the suggestion!

Sadly, I haven't seen much of 5-8 yet. I'm working on it.

I'm not THAT old, but thanks to re-runs in my early childhood, William Hartnell was my first Doctor.
In the new series, Ten is My Doctor. In the old series, I really can't decide. I love 2, 3, and 4.

The portraits are all fantastic. Great work!

Well, as with most others I bet, Nine was my first...but when I then got into Classic Who, Three very quickly ran away with my heart. It's _possible_ Twelve or Thirteen will top him someday, but...nah. :P
